We finally updated our web presence and, well, we are pretty proud about it.
The site, of course has areas that discuss who we are and what we do (acupuncture/herbs, massage therapy, exercise physiology) but it also has a nice little area called Resources that we think you will find most useful – it breaks down into four sections: Practitioners Worth Using, Websites Worth Knowing, Books Worth Reading and Recipes Worth Making. Soon we will add a section on Living With Allergies (section on gluten, dairy, nut, soy, corn, etc free living)
Also, the site has some useful search functions. In the upper-righthand corner of every page (its ok, go ahead and look) there is a search box. Type some key words in there and you will find what you are after (provided what you are after is on our site!). But if you need paperwork or directions or that ridiculously awesome roasted nut recipe just type it into the search box and all will be well.
Lastly, there is a section called Over Tea . . . This is, essentially, our blog area. We will upload articles and interesting things all the time. Every once in a while we’ll slap it all together in a newsletter and fire it out. Should you want to receive our delightful musings in your inbox, click here to sign up for the newsletter. Overall, our posts are short, sweet and to the point! There will always be a link at the bottom for the whole article or further blitherings if you wear fancy glasses and like that kind of stuff (like us!).
Ok, do enjoy the site and if you have content you would like to see, questions you would like answered or anything else (within reason, of course) hit us up through the contact section and we will do our best to accomodate!

The easy answer is “whenever you feel you need it.”
For many, this is once a week. For others this means once a month or once a season. Tune into your body and listen to it. Do you think a massage will help you calm down, relax and recover form you lifestyle? If yes, come on in.
Frequency is wholly related to the lifestyle you lead, your age and your activity level. If you are hitting the gym 3 times a week, best to come in every two weeks. If you are traveling a lot with work, got 3 kids hanging on you neck daily and can’t seem to sleep too well . . . maybe you should be coming in a bit more often.
Listen to your body. You will find the answer there.

Nope. All massage prices are set at a price point where tipping is not required. This isn’t a spa and the massage therapy at Creative Integrations truly skews more towards therapeutic.
That said, many people still wish to tip and Christopher will not stop them. Though always appreciated, it is never necessary to tip.

Here is the price schedule for Massage Therapy at Creative Integrations:

Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity.
After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days.
Since toxins are released from your soft tissues during a massage, it is recommended you drink plenty of water following your massage. Best if you can have a hot Epsom salt bath afterwards . . . Epsom salt baths encourages the release of toxins that may have been stirred up from the massage treatment.
In general, you should feel better. There should be no bruising but it might be possible, if you had some really deep tissue work done, to feel sore the next day. This soreness will be very transient and should clear up in a day or so.

Absolutely! You are spending your hard earned time and money on a massage treatment so it better be exactly what you want!
Do not endure your massage. If the pressure is too light, let Christopher know. If the pressure is too deep, let Christopher know. If you are too warm or cold or if the music is too loud or soft or the light is too bright or the infrared light is too close or anything (!!), let Christopher know. He will make every effort to make sure you are getting the best massage treatment possible.
Do not hold back, let Chrisotpher know. It actually makes his job easier. More direction is better, especially in the first few treatments while he is figuring out what is best for you.
Also, as time goes on, you will likely change your preferences on depth of pressure, certain stretches, etc – let Christopher know.

No. In fact, there are several ailments that massage is wholly contraindicated for. For this very reason we require you to fill out the health history forms and before you begin your session.
Christopher will ask general health questions to rule out if you have any contraindications to massage. However, It is very important that you inform the practitioner of any health problems or medications you are taking. If you are under a doctor’s care, it is strongly advised that you receive a written recommendation for massage prior to any session. Christopher may require a recommendation or approval from your doctor.

Best to bring your own or make sure Christopher is aware of your needs well before the time of your appointment. Christopher does have several options on hand but, again, if you have severe allergies, it is highly recommended that you bring your own oils or lotions to make sure there are no adverse reactions.
Worst case, Christopher is adept at several styles of massage that require no oils or lotion at all . . .

All oils used are hypoallergenic, however, if you have sensitivity to certain types of oils please bring it to the Christopher’s attention and an adjustment will be made for you. If your skin is particularly prone to breaking out then we recommend scheduling your massage so you can go directly home to take a quick shower.
Again, this complaint is rarely heard from Christopher’s clients . . .
